Chevy Burger, Antipolo

Chevy Burger has been my mom's usual hangout with her friends. She has been raving about how good the food is here. Gia also tried it a couple of times at their Marikina branch and was also satisfied during her visits.

Lunch at The Aristocrat, Antipolo

We were on our way back to our home in Antipolo, after I stayed for almost a week at Gia's place in QC. It was almost noon, so we decided to have lunch on our way. I was having this huge craving for grilled pork, which is why I immediately obliged when Gia suggested that we dine at The Aristocrat in Masinag, Antipolo.

Quick Bites: Khameer and Dough

Waking up right before your alarm goes off can be so annoying, but not if it's because of the smell of freshly-baked khameer from Khameer & Dough!

Quick Bites: Tex Mex Burger from Dirt

Burgers are arguably the ultimate comfort food–that big, fat, juicy beef patty with crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and a gooey melted cheese, sandwiched on a butter toasted bun. But have you ever had a vegan burger? I actually got curious when I first heard of Dirt, who offers vegan burgers. Yes, vegan! No beef, no chicken, no meat!

Quick Bites: Tawook Skewers Platter from Tawook Nation

Tried Tawook Nation for late lunch today. I had the Tawook Skewers Platter delivered to DIC by 3pm but got the food at a little over half past 3. Not really sure what happened here because I didn't get any calls about my order arriving late.

Truckers DXB: Food Truck JAM

What happens when the best home grown food trucks of the country decide to stick together and build a new type of event especially for foodies? Food Truck JAM! Add Dubai's fantastic cold weather which makes for atmosphere setup by Truckers DXB.

Quick Bites: Debonairs Pizza

I usually cook on weekends, Fridays specifically, if we got no plans of going out. But last weekend, our flat was scheduled for pest control and we were not allowed to use the kitchen, so I was already prepared to eat out or order food online.

It's as if the universe knew of our struggle and sent Debonairs Pizza to the rescue! :p It's a lucky coincidence that I received a mail and call from Debonairs Pizza that same day. And in no time, two boxes of large piping hot pizzas were delivered right at our doorsteps.

Quick Bites: Chicken Mandi and Kunafa from Zam Zam Mandi

My love for cooking is an open book. While others have this penchant for reading, shopping, or hitting the gym, there's just this peculiar bliss that I feel every time I'm cooking or baking. But of course there are also times when I'm not in the mood to cook. And in times like this, Mark comes to the rescue.

Quick Bites: Fuel Basic Burger at Burger Fuel

Had a quick burger fix at the Burger Fuel branch in Mall of the Emirates back when it was still Ramadan. I know, I know. I'm such an efficient blogger. Haha! :p

Haven't had breakfast yet that time and they were the only ones open at the food court (the rest of the restaurants are either closed on only opens at noon during Ramadan), so this is where my friend and I settled.

We were the first customers, so serving time wasn't a problem. I specifically ordered the Fuel Basic and obliged when the staff asked if I wanted to have cheese in it.

Fuel Basic - AED 32 (additional AED 0.50 for the cheese)

The Fuel Basic is Burger Fuel's take on the classic beef burger, with a 100% pure grass fed beef burger and fresh lettuce, onions, and tomato in a soft bun. The burger was generally good—patty was fresh, veggies were crisp, buns were soft—the only downer was the patty and dressing which were a little too salty. I had mine with cheese, which added up to the saltiness, I guess. And although the burger is huge, I think the price is a bit of a stretch.

Quick Bites: Chicken Biryani and Chai from Buzz Adda

I always thought that I should only post reviews here in my blog if I get to eat in the actual restaurant, so I can point out more specific details not just about the food but also about the restaurant as a whole—ambience, service, dining experience, and all—but then again, I realized how it would be unfair to curb my excitement to share something good or to cover up for some bad experience by just keeping silent.

What if what I just ate was really great or what if I experienced a fast delivery or a commendable service? What if what I ordered was different from what was actually served or delivered? I know I can just post it on Zomato, but I feel the need to have it reach as many people as possible, so I thought this blog would be a good venue (although I think I only have a handful of avid readers haha!). And hey, this is my blog so I can post whatever I want, and besides, some of the food that I had were really amazing to just be sitting in my camera roll and not being shared.
