Hair Keratin Treatment at Infinity Beauty Salon & Spa

It has been 2 years since my last hair treatment. It was still back in the Philippines when I had my hair curled. I sported a long curly hair for over a year, after which I cut short before I left for Dubai.

I have a naturally straight hair, which I got from my Mom, so I seldom had to worry about bad hair days. I would also have hair relaxing treatments just once in a while.

I am not sure if it's because of the weather or the usually hot water from the showers, but my hair suddenly became dull and dry. I can no longer sport the wash-and-wear hair so I had to have it ironed almost every single day, which of course made my hair's condition worse.

I had been meaning to try out the keratin hair treatment which is offered in almost all salons here in Dubai, but I just haven't got the time. Good thing I finally got to try it yesterday at Infinity Beauty Salon & Spa, with Ate Cherry and Tita Liz, who have been raving about the salon's keratin treatment.

Lovin' My Solemates

Seems like I just can't get enough of those cute, chic, stylish, and super comfy flats from Solemate. When we paid a visit at an SM Department Store a few months back, I can't help but get myself some new pairs. :D

I got fascinated with these shimmers and shoelace bows, so I got all three colors. I also got a pair of the plain red flats with shoelace bow. Each Solemate pair costs Php 299.75, but buying two pairs would only cost Php 399.75. :D

Just like the Solemate flats that I got before, my new pairs are also made of a light fabric which is very soft and comfortable. Perfect for some stroll around the mall, some long walks, or even for some movie dates or some lunch or dinner outs. Let me just say that among my Solemate flats, the pairs with shimmer are my favorites! They never fail to add that instant glam to my outfit.

New Look for the New Year

I've been sporting either a short or long straight hair for years and I want to try a new look this time. When digiperm became a hit a few years ago, I really wanted to get into the craze badly if not for my super short hair that time. Good thing my hair is now long enough and I finally got the time, so I got the chance to have my hair perm-ed at Tony & Jackey a day before my birthday. :D

Was greeted by a bunch of friendly staff the moment I entered the salon. After speaking with the receptionist, I was ushered inside and was introduced to Angel, my Korean stylist. She had my hair assessed first before the digital perming. After the assessment, my transformation began haha! :p

I first had my hair colored, then trimmed, then rebonded, with shampooing in between, which took roughly 4 hours to finish.

Half Rebonding (Top Part) - Php 1,500.00

Afterwards my hair went through this machine for the 15-minute digital perming. Angel suggested that I have the medium curls since the big curls would only last for a week.

I'm a Makeup Artist for a Day! :)

Yup! That's what I became yesterday. Well actually it was just for about an hour haha! I don't know what got into me last night, but when I knew that my mom was up for some party with her girl friends, I volunteered to do her makeup. :p Here are what I used for my mom's makeup. The eyeshadow and blush on palettes are my mom's and the rest are mine.

I am not an expert when it comes to makeups and I don't actually come close to being one. An everyday makeup for me would just consist of bb cream, powder, eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss (some lipstick when I'm heading to parties/events) and I'm good to go. So I actually wasn't sure what my mom's look would end up with haha! I just tried to recall and apply what I've read in magazines before. :p

I Finally Found My Solemate!

Yup! You read that right. It's not a typo error. :)

Although I'm a sucker for high-heeled shoes, I still see to it that I take care of my feet once in a while. I admit that I sometimes tend to sacrifice fashion for comfort but I still manage to just let my feet breathe by taking a break from wearing those sky-highs. I have a number of high-heeled shoes in my closet but my flats come not far behind.

Adding to my collection are these cute and comfy ballet flats from Solemate. I've actually been seeing these in SM department stores but I never got to check them out because more often than not, their stalls are always packed with flats enthusiasts. :p It was only a few weekends back when I finally got to have my own.

They have a wide variety of designs from plain colored and printed ones, to floral and animal prints. I initially fell in love with the star prints! The one with heart prints and that little bow are also cute! I also loved the denim pair with a zebra print inner sole.

Black Wedge Platform Pumps

Saw a post from my cousin of a photo of a blue wedge platform pumps which I got envious of haha! I immediately asked her the details on where she got her shoes. Luckily she wasn't very greedy to share the details. And there, I found myself the following weekend, at the shoe stalls in St. Francis Square in Ortigas Center in a pair of this cheap but cute find. :D

Just like my black pumps, this pair of black wedge platform pumps is made of suede which made me fall in love with it immediately. The wedge platform has a 4-inch-high heel and a 1-inch-high toe (heel near the toe :p). It also comes in blue, hot pink, brown, and nude hues.

Parisian Elegance Charlotte Pumps

Aside from the Parisian Comfy flats, here's another cheap but chic find from Parisian Shoes!

The Parisian Elegance collection has a variety of flats and pumps that not only shout comfort but class and elegance as well. Just like the black Charlotte pumps which I immediately fell in love with!

Mario D'boro Sandals

I bought this pair of Mario D'boro sandals along with the Parisian Comfy Flats. Buying this sandals wasn't really planned at all. :p I wasn't really supposed to buy anything except for a pair of flats, but as I looked around I remembered that I still don't have any pair to go with my black and gold getup. :p

Mario D'boro Sandals - Php 899.00

A few months back, I bought a black sleeveless dress and some golden bronze accessories as part of my retail therapy. :p I still haven't figured when to wear these until Mark told me that he's coming home.

Parisian Comfy Flats

I got some cheap but cute find on a Wednesday a couple of weeks back. It's usually a long day for me during Wednesdays because of the number coding scheme. I went off from work at 5pm and totally forgot that it was a Wednesday. Since I still can't go home and drive, I decided to do some window shopping to kill time.

After window shopping for around an hour with my black pumps on, my feet began to ache. I was already at the SM Department Store in Makati so I decided to buy some flip-flops there. I was looking for a certain brand which unfortunately was not available at the department store. Good thing I came across the Parisian shoe stall. And viola! I got this Parisian Comfy Flats!

I immediately fell in love with these shoes when I tried them on. Its soft cushion inner sole was heaven for my feet. The same material was also used for the shoe itself. I took a few steps with these comfy pair on and every step really felt good. I love its simple design and that little bow, oh don't they just look so cute?

Colorful Chic

If there's one person who's so much into nail polishes, that would be my mom. Although my dad doesn't really want polished nails, my mom still sees to it that she has her nails polished all the time. She's not fond of going to salons to have her nails done though, because she does her own manicure and pedicure for her nails.

She's not so particular with nail polish brands, just as long as she likes the color she'll definitely have it on her nails. :) This is the latest addition to her nail polish collection:

I love how adventurous she is when it comes to nail polish colors. It's amazing how my mom can sport any nail polish color from plum, to avocado, to neon and glow in the dark shades, unlike me who always use safe colors like nude and pearl. The loudest color that I can have would be red, and that would only be for special occasions. :p

I wanted to try out my mom's new nail polish colors but didn't know what to wear, so I had her try all the colors on her nails. :)

I liked the Jolly Jelly shade the most. I think I can also handle sporting the Neon Fuchsia shade. Will definitely try them on my nails soon, I just need to grow them a little longer. :)

From Qatar with Love

Got this lovely gift from the boyfriend last Sunday. This was supposed to be a surprise, but I already knew of it because of his mom. Mark must have forgotten how close his mom and I are that we talk almost everyday about almost everything. :p

Swatch Menthol Tone Watch

But I must admit, I still got surprised. :p Thanks love! I love it! :) But I would have liked it even more if you gave it to me personally hahaha! I miss you so much! Come back home soon! :)

Caress Sea Pink

Just wanna share my new find: Caress Sea Pink nail polish. :)

Saw this earlier at a mall and I immediately fell in love with it. :p I actually love this more than Chic's Neon Fuchsia.

I immediately applied it on my nails when we got home. :p I applied 3 coats of the Caress Sea Pink nail polish and a colorless polish as top coat. Here are my Sea Pink nails. ^_^
