Chevy Burger, Antipolo

Chevy Burger has been my mom's usual hangout with her friends. She has been raving about how good the food is here. Gia also tried it a couple of times at their Marikina branch and was also satisfied during her visits.

Mommy was meeting up with her friends one afternoon for some snacks at Chevy Burger, and we (Gia, Uno, and I) decided to tag along. We met up with my dad who went straight to Chevy after his work.

I was only meaning to have some drinks since we just had our lunch (thinking that Chevy Burger also serves a variety of drinks), unfortunately, they only have coffee and iced tea. Didn't want to try their burgers yet, so I just went ahead and copied Gia's order--Giant Dog and Signature Iced Tea (Php 40).

Giant Dog - Php 55

Giant Dog is Chevy's version of a classic hotdog sandwich--a king-sized hotdog on a bun, with mayo, ketchup, cheese sauce--with a slice of tomato and cucumber. I liked the hotdog; it was tasty (I think they used that popular red hotdog brand), and the bun was soft. I just found the dressing a bit too much making it messy to eat.

We also got some sour cream fries (Supah Fries - Sour Cream - Php 35) for Uno,
who excitedly munched a piece when it was served.

We got the Chevy Belly for my dad, as suggested by Gia. One of their best-sellers, Chevy Belly is like a classic cheeseburger but a notch higher, literally. Aside from beef patty and cheese on a soft burger bun, it was also loaded with ham, egg, bacon, chicken spread, mushroom, onion, tomato, cucumber, and lettuce. The whole burger was almost 4 inches high, it has to be secured with a skewer.

Chevy Belly - Php 130

There's a lot going on in this burger but I think my dad liked it. Just look at his smile! :p The burger was just too much for him, he only finished half of it. We just had the rest for take away, along with 2 cheese burgers (Cheesy Chevs - Php 55 each) and plain fries for Jaoey.



I haven't personally tasted their burgers yet, but Jaoey finished both of the cheese burgers and Daddy seemed to also have liked his, so I think it's safe to say that Chevy's burgers are okay. Aside from burgers and sandwiches, they also serve pasta, salads, and rice plates that are all affordable.

Just a couple of let downs:
1) the place is clean but a bit hot; additional electric fans would do the trick
2) would be nicer if they serve other drinks like fruit shakes and juices
3) this is just a personal preference, but I think serving the dressings and condiments separately would be better, to give diners more control of what goes in their sandwiches.
