Quick Bites: Khameer and Dough

Waking up right before your alarm goes off can be so annoying, but not if it's because of the smell of freshly-baked khameer from Khameer & Dough!

Somewhat like a crossbreed between a donut and a burger bun with fillings, this traditional Emirati khameer with a twist makes for a perfect breakfast in bed!

They came in still hot, an indication that they're baked fresh! I got two boxes full of the sweet ones, the Oozing Nutella and Lotus Biscoff being my top picks—mildly sweet, light, but definitely filling. If you're familiar with Pan de Coco, a popular snack bread in the Philippines, you'll most likely find a resemblance of it with the khameer. ;)

They also come in regular and mini sizes. The one's I got were the regular ones,  affordable at AED 45 a dozen. For those who are not into sweets, don't fret as they also have savory fillings. I have yet to try their four cheese variant and the one with Chips Oman, but I heard they're good too!
