Mark and I were at the checkout counter in Carrefour when I felt a grumble in my stomach. It’s almost two hours past lunch time, that’s why. So after grocery shopping, we decided to grab a quick late lunch at Grk Fresh Greek which is just right across.
We still had to run some errands so we just ordered pita for take away. Arguably one of the best tasting pitas, and the priciest too. But hey, we got it at a 2 for 1 deal (thanks to Entertainer), so yay! I got the Chicken Souvlaki Pita while Mark had Lamb Souvlaki Pita.

Which GRK pita is your favorite? Mine’s the Lamb Souvlaki! Yup, Mark and I ended up switching orders, yet again. The chicken’s also good but I enjoyed the lamb more. Its charred flavor went well with the tomatoes, red onions, and Kaftero Tzatziki (spicy fire-roasted habanero peppers, herbs, and spices).
I initially thought it won't be enough as it kinda looks small, but it was surprisingly filling, I only downed half of it and Mark finished the rest.

Oh and you should try their Grk Fries, too! The thick-cut fries were seasoned to perfection and had that crispy crust and soft core, which I love. Among the seasoned fries that I tried, this one’s my favorite next to Logma Fries. ;) It comes in a huge serving at only 13 AED! Such a steal!
