Protein bars and energy balls come in handy when Mark needs to fuel up while he's on the go. However, though I'm not generalizing, commercial protein bars and energy balls sometimes contain unwanted sugars and starches. And admit it, they also cost a fortune.

Those are the main reasons why I decided to just make them myself. I actually got the idea from Brooke (@explore.joy) which I tweaked a bit when I made the No-Bake Protein Oatmeal Cookies.

I used the same peanut butter, whey protein, and oatmeal base; did away with the honey and milk; and added some almonds and dark choco chips.

It's packed with protein to give you that energy boost! A healthy way of satisfying your chocolate cravings! And definitely another fun way of enjoying whey protein! Less costly than the commercial counterparts too! :D

And because it's homemade, you are sure of what goes into what you're eating. I made into 35-gram balls which you can easily pop in your mouth when you're on the go, but you can of course take control of how you want it—you can make it into cookies (flats), bars, etc. You can have it 'naked' or have it dipped in melted dark chocolate.
