Mark and I had fun when we first got to experience the Food Truck Jam at Emirates Golf Club. So when our friends from Truckers DXB invited us again to try it out at their newest location, Marasi Business Bay, I knew that we were up to another fun weekend.
As with the previous food truck jams, the setup was still the same--food trucks, craft market, kid's corner, mechanical bull ride, and live performance--but with jugglers and arcrobats this time, all lining the stretch of Marasi Business Bay.
Families and kids were mostly present during the afternoon, while teens and groups started to flock come night time. The mood was chill and wholesome in the afternoon, which turned into fun and lively deeper into the night.
There were more food trucks this time and we started our gastronomic adventure with the first food cart that our eyes laid onto--Casa Latina. They server up Latin American cuisine with influences of Venezuelan flavors. We had their Surf and Turf, which is a complete meal on its own; with fresh salad, rice croquettes, and succulent shrimps, chicken, and beef! It's a bit pricey, but I must say that it's my personal favorite. :D

Apart from the yummy noodles, Woki Naki is also one of my favorites because of these quirky boards! :D
Hungry all day, everyday! :p |
I was meaning to try out food trucks that we haven't tried yet from Emirates Golf Club, but Sirloin & Son's The Great Burger was so good, I just had to have it again! :p The huge beef patty was tender and oozing with juiciness in every bite. The potato hash and crisp lettuce and tomato added that lovely texture. And oh, the butter buns were just so good! And just like love, The Great Burger is lovelier the second time around! :D

Sweet fried dough with a choice of sweet or savory toppings, crowned with powdered sugar. It's soft like a donut yet crispy like a churro with the sweetness of a waffle. I chose to have it topped with Nutella and Lotus biscuits and it was a hit! Even Mark can't get enough of it. I'd love it more with only just the Nutella, though.

Charcoal Lemonade - AED 15 Tasted just like the usual lemonade, but claims to detoxify the body. |
Prices may be a bit of a stretch, but it's still a good venue to spend the weekend with. While the overall vibe in Emirates Golf Club was laid-back and rustic; Marasi had that modern, casual vibe. I'd still prefer the former, though. :D
If you still haven't been to the Food Truck Jam, you can still catch them tomorrow at the Emirates Golf Club! :D

We were invited at the Food Truck Jam in Marasi, Business Bay and our meal was complimentary, but as always, this post is sincerely written and opinions are my own.
