Dubai Miracle Garden: A Miracle in the Desert

Wait, what?! A garden? In a desert?!

Those were the exact thoughts running through my head when Mark told me about his recent trip to Dubai one weekend, a couple of years back. Just so we're all on the same page, Mark was based in Abu Dhabi for almost two years before I came to Dubai. :D

I love flowers let alone flower gardens, but I never had any idea of Dubai Miracle Garden.  With only cacti, camels, and a massive pool of sand in mind, I never thought the world's most beautiful and largest flower garden can be found in a desert. I mean, right? A flower garden in dry desert land? Are you kidding me? So imagine how I was in total glee when I finally got to experience and witness its dreamy beauty on its 4th season along with Mark and our friends.

Dubai Miracle Garden

Dubai Miracle Garden is nothing short of a miracle. It's a paradise! The massive flower garden has a land area of 72,000 square meters, consisting of around 70 flower varieties and over approximately 100 million blooming flowers! Uh huh, only in Dubai! A city of endless possibilities, indeed!

Every inch of the garden is bewitching. There are arcs, cubes, and domes all made of grass and live colorful blooms!

There's a huge area of different flowers in vivid colors, pathways with cottages, food and beverage stalls under colorful hanging flower baskets, and tons and tons of flower beds.

To say that I was stunned by its beauty is totally an understatement. I also suddenly thought of my mom when I was there. She has a green thumb and she takes care of our little garden at home. I'm sure she'd fall in love with Dubai Miracle Garden as much as I did!

I loved my first experience in Dubai Miracle Garden but it would have been perfect if not because of the noise brought about by the endless whistles of the guards. :( I know they're just trying to maintain and protect the beauty of the place, but it won't hurt if they'll allow visitors to at least have a photo near the structures. Sitting on the grass near the structure won't do any harm to the flowers, I believe.

But nevertheless, it was still a fun experience. We didn't hear any whistles with Mark's signature poses, so I guess we're all good! Haha! :p

Dubai Miracle Garden is open daily. Admission before was at 30 AED for adults and children above 3 years old, but now on its 5th season, price it at 40 AED each for adults and 30 AED each for children 3-12 years old.

I heard there are newer, bigger, and bolder structures including a 1800-sqm Butterfly Garden and another Guinness World Record holder—the Largest Flower Arrangement/Structure Forming the Shape of the Airbus A380, so I guess the price increase it's worth it. Oh, and I hope the guards will be more lenient this season. I can't wait to go back! :D
