Dubai Garden Glow: The World's First Unique Glow Theme Park

Early this year, our dear friend, Kristel, visited Dubai. We haven't seen each other for quite some time so we made sure to allot time to show her around the city. Since our schedule's won't permit, Mark and I only had a day to spend with her. After a sumptuous brunch, we headed to Dubai Garden Glow.

We also haven't visited the place when it opened last December, and because it was just near our place. we decided to give it a go on their first season.

The World's First Unique Glow Theme Park

The park opens at 4pm but we visited just in time for sunset, around 5:30pm, which I reckon is the best time to visit if you wish to witness how the park turns from an art by day to a spectacular view at night.

Inspired from different tourist attractions and designed with a theme of "Art by Day and Glow by Night", we watched as the artsy sculptures transformed and came alive as they glowed into the night.

There are different sections in the garden with colorful installations depicting famous attractions from around the globe. From the Masai Mara wild beast migration and the tulips of the Netherlands to the African wild and an army of industrious ants.

There's also a mini Dino Park and Panda Park, Talking Tree, colorful candies and flowers, and some garden light installations to name a few.

World Class Entertainment and Live Performances

We also got to catch several live performances by international, regional and local artists, and acrobats. We were also able to witness the water, lights, and sound shows which run every hour, if I remembered it right.

Eco-friendly Family Destination

A vast garden with almost everything covered with lights, one might think that a huge some of money was used to put up this unique garden.

Dubai's aim to educate people about the importance of preserving the environment is very evident with the garden's concept. Most of the sculptures in the garden were made from eco-friendly materials such as plastic bottles, porcelain cups, plates, and spoons, and the lights used were low electricity consumption bulbs.

Snacks and Featured Activities

Besides sculptures and light installations, there's also a food pavilion at the garden with delicacies from around the world, including Tim Horton's and Coldstone kiosks in the middle of the lake.  A play area for the little ones and some games and activity areas for the kids and teens are also available where they can enjoy 'learning with fun'.

Admission and Timings

Dubai Garden Glow is also now open for its second season, which I've learned includes a lot more attractions for kids and kids at heart to enjoy. With the Dubai weather now in its favorable state, a visit to Dubai Garden Glow should definitely not be missed! Mark, let's go back! :D
