Quick Bites: Chicken Biryani and Chai from Buzz Adda

I always thought that I should only post reviews here in my blog if I get to eat in the actual restaurant, so I can point out more specific details not just about the food but also about the restaurant as a whole—ambience, service, dining experience, and all—but then again, I realized how it would be unfair to curb my excitement to share something good or to cover up for some bad experience by just keeping silent.

What if what I just ate was really great or what if I experienced a fast delivery or a commendable service? What if what I ordered was different from what was actually served or delivered? I know I can just post it on Zomato, but I feel the need to have it reach as many people as possible, so I thought this blog would be a good venue (although I think I only have a handful of avid readers haha!). And hey, this is my blog so I can post whatever I want, and besides, some of the food that I had were really amazing to just be sitting in my camera roll and not being shared.

So that is why I came up with a blog series (or whatever that is called) so I can share my reviews on some food that I had as a product of my laziness to cook my own food ordered for delivery or bought in a rush for some quick fix, and decided to name it "Quick Bites". And first on the series are the Chicken Biryani and Chai from Buzz Ada.

I finally tried the most coveted Chicken Biryani and Chai for the first time after a couple times of drooling over my Indian friends' orders for lunch. Every time they're having lunch, an inviting aroma would fill the air which would have me drooling all over. I finally had the guts to ask one of them and I'm glad he happily shared the deets. Oh I can still recall how stalker-ish I was when I asked haha! :p

The Chicken Biryani came in a huge serving of spiced rice with fork-tender chicken pieces and hard-boiled egg, with some spicy curry and yogurt along side. The serving was generous I only finished a quarter of it and even had the rest shared for dinner with Mark. Their version is by far the best chicken biryani for me—fresh-tasting, well-seasoned, not too oily, and not too spicy. Good value for money, indeed. I also love how the quality of the food was not compromised as the order came in just a little over 30 minutes. The delivery guy was also polite.

The Chai was also a revelation, apart from its authentic taste—the tea was pungent but not overpowering and had that mildly sweet milky taste—it was also piping hot as it was delivered in a thermos and was just transferred into a paper cup upon delivery.

Their menu also consists of a good variety of Indian dishes, which I'd definitely try next time! :)
