When I first got to the UAE a little over a year ago, it has been my goal since then to explore all its seven emirates. And although I've already been to Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, apart from Dubai, I know that I'm not even a quarter of a halfway there since there are still a lot for me to explore. It is also still a work in progress considering Mark and I have more important things to prioritize. So when an invitation to try out the Romantic Escape at Nour Arjaan by Rotana in Fujairah came my way, I'm sure you know what happened next. :)
After an almost two-hour ride from Dubai, we finally saw the rock mountains adorning the roads to Fujairah. Located at the heart of the city, amidst Fujairah's exclusive areas, Nour Arjaan by Rotana is one of Rotana's luxurious properties in Fujairah. It is ideally located close to several tourist attractions such as Fujairah City Center and Fujairah open beach.
We were greeted courteously by the staff when we arrived at the hotel. Check-in was a breeze and we were already on our way to our suite in no time.
Romantic Escape
The hopeless romantic in me was suddenly awakened when we entered our suite. Rose petals were carefully arranged in the living room and dining area.
A bottle of sparkling grape juice, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a heart-shaped chocolate cake completed the romantic feel.
Mark and I definitely enjoyed the treat. The decadent chocolate was heavenly. Mark couldn't help but dig into its goodness.
Just when I thought that the romantic vibe was over, it was even more felt when I entered our bedroom. I immediately fell in love when I saw the romantic setup.
Aside from the romantic room setup, we also had an intimate dinner at Murjan Cafe. More of our dining experiencein my next post HERE. :)
Adding to the romantic feel is a relaxed yet luxurious stay in the well equipped and fully furnished suite.
Premium One-Bedroom Suite
A spacious room with an 88sqm floor area and homey ambience was what welcomed us as we entered the suite. The kitchenette was fully equipped with stove, microwave oven, mini fridge and freezer, and crockery and cutlery.
Complimentary tea and coffee making facility was provided and there were also some chocolates, nuts, and drinks in the mini bar with corresponding fees.
The kitchenette and separate living and dining room were all furnished with contemporary and earth-colored pieces. The green-brown-beige-yellow combination of the whole setup gave an earthy yet chic and relaxed atmosphere and those red rose petals definitely added a romantic vibe. There's also a separate toilet at the back of the kitchen.
The living room was were we spent most of our time. Mark and I laid on a sofa each while watching at the 40-inch multi-channel satellite LCD television.
Aside from watching TV, I also loved the living room as it has a stunning view of the Hajar mountains behind the Sheikh Zayed Mosque of Fujairah, which is already majestic even if it's still under construction.
The bedroom is complete with a king-sized bed, a 32-inch multi-channel satellite LCD television, personal in-room safe, telephone lines and high speed internet (wired and wireless).
The super comfy and soft duvet and fluffy pillows surely gave us a good night's sleep. A coffee table and couches plus a dresser and vanity mirror were also present.
Also part of our bedroom is the clean and spacious bathroom with basic toiletries, towels, bath robes, and hair dryer. Toothbrush was not available but you can request for it from the guest services.
And did I say that even the bathroom has a romantic setup? :D
While the living room had a view of the mosque and mountains, our bedroom had a beautiful Fujairah city view. I didn't only fall in love with the room but also with the view!
Recreation
Aside from a relaxing stay, guests can also keep fit and relaxed in the hotel's recreational facilities. Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club offers a fully equipped gymnasium, rooftop temperature controlled swimming pool, and cardiovascular and weight training facilities. Massage rooms, sauna and steam room are also available.
The temperature-controlled swimming pool is child- and adult-friendly alike. A lifeguard is also on duty to assist you and towels are provided for guests.
While Nour Arjaan aims to provide a comfortable stay for guests, they also make sure that kids have fun and enjoy their stay. They have Flipper's Kid's Club with a range of fun and supervised activities for children of all ages.
Even kids at heart can enjoy here too! Haha! :p
Dining
The hotel offers 24 hours in-room dining service with various choices of food and beverage from the international cuisine. There's a Lobby Lounge offering a mouth-watering selection of tea and coffee menu as well as varied a la carte menu, and Aquarius Pool Cafe which is a perfect choice for casual dining and refreshments by the pool.
Our stay included a complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two at Murjan Cafe. The all-day dining restaurant serves international buffet. More details about our dining experiencein my next post HERE. :)
Commendable Customer Service
Very evident in the Rotana properties that I've been to is the remarkable customer service. And this too was what we immediately experience when we got to the hotel. The staff at the entrance greeted us with a smile and wished us a wonderful stay. Same is true with the duty manager who made our check-in a breeze. Even when we were already leaving, the staff was still consistent with their service. One of them even went out of his way to get on the streets and hail a taxi for us. :)
Little personalized touches like the note from the general manager and my name in the screen of the IP phone made me confirm how special they treat their guests.
A little after we got to our suite, the phone rang as one of the staff from the guest services checked if there's anything we need. Santosh, from the Engineering Department, was accommodating that he even personally went to our suite when we had a small glitch with the WIFI connection. A staff was also prompt the next day to offer some room service. Such small gestures which absolutely made us feel well taken care of.
I also like to applaud the hotel for considering placing comfy couches at the elevator area, plus some soothing background music all throughout the hallway, where guests can comfortably wait for the lift.
It was also a great venue for an #OOTD shot! Hahaha! Side story: I finally got to convince Mark to wear skinny stretch jeans! I also love when he wears a jacket or coat, instead of his usual shirt and loose pants getup. Yay! Oh, Mark will kill me for this. :p But hey, don't you just love how neat he looks?
Mark and I are really bad at organizing trips so we didn't really have an itinerary when we got to Fujairah. We just went outside to check the majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque and shopped at the nearby shops, and haven't really explored what Fujairah has to offer.
Good thing Nour Arjann by Rotana had it all planned for us. We just went to the hotel and were pampered, more than we can imagine, all throughout our stay as we enjoyed a romantic escape.
