BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana Goes Pink for Safe & Sound Initiative

BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana’s support to the noble cause could be seen in different areas of the hotel.


The boutique BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana hotel in Dubai launched its Pink Day at the hotel on Monday the 19 October, 2015 in support of the Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The campaign which is a BurJuman initiative was initially launched in 1997 and has received tremendous support over the years making it one of the largest breast cancer awareness campaigns in the Middle East.



BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana’s support to the noble cause could be seen in different areas of the hotel and brought much excitement and support from their guests as well as passersby. The hotel was decked in an overall pink impression with pink flowers, candies, pink décor, ribbons, balloons and more.


The staff in front-of-the-house areas, who constantly engage with guests, wore pink ribbons and some even were able to dress in pink attire.


In addition, a variety of Pink events were also planned for the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, The Gallery Restaurant. Food enthusiasts experience a special Pink lunch, featuring an extensive buffet with a variety of pink items, beverages and desserts, which caused much excitement form the business tower and visitors passing by through the BurJuman Mall.




In order to boost the campaign and raise further awareness for the cause, the hotel also launched a small pink competition that was open to guests, colleagues as well as being promoted on the hotel’s social media pages.

As a finale to the day BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana organized a walkathon in Zabeel Park, where all participants contributed to the Safe & Sound mobile app, which has replaced the traditional walkathon that took place very year. Once the collative km’s reach 50 000km’s, BurJuman will donate AED100, 000 to the Al jalila Foundation.


Ulrike Andorff, general manager of the hotel, commented: “We are always excited to support and build awareness for causes such as the Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness. Our whole team really got involved, and we had such great support from our guests during our pink initiatives which helped us raise further awareness fort this noble cause.”
