DADS World Buffets

I know I haven't been that active in updating this blog as often, and it's been a while since I last got invited over to a food event, so I was more than delighted when I got an email of an invite to another food launch a couple of weeks back.

Our family loves to eat and although we do not usually dine out, we've been to a lot of buffets already. Our most recent buffet dining experience was the best for all of us except for my dad. Knowing my dad who has palates that are very hard to please, he only raves about one buffet restaurant, DADS buffet, that is.

We haven't dined there as family yet, but hearing my dad's raves already got me excited. So when I got the invite from DADS, with all those raves in my mind, plus the fact that they're adding up an array of cuisines, I immediately said yes haha! Together with my sister, Gia, we took a culinary trip to the world at the all-new DADS World Buffets in SM Megamall last Novermber 30, Saturday.

IMG_3614Even before buffet restaurants sprouted like mushrooms, DADS buffet has already been a Filipino (and my dad's) favorite with its continental, Japanese, and Filipino dishes through its DADS, Saisaki, and Kamayan buffets. The all-new DADS World Buffets at SM Megamall now offers a world of famous culinary specialties, all on top of its signature lineup.

They also have bottomless and interchangeable drinks from shakes and juices, to iced tea and soft drinks.

But just like in any other buffets that I've been too, it just seemed that I got overwhelmed once again with the wide selection of dishes, so I just got the same old tempura, dimsum, and maki that I usually get plus a couple of fruit shakes. :p

Had a few desserts too. The cream puff and maja blanca where my favorites! :)

Aside from the very extensive yet very affordable buffet spread, their customer service is also commendable. Their staff are very attentive to the needs of the diners, not to mention that they don't charge for service fee! Great, isn't it? They also make sure that every section of the buffet are well attended to and filled with food all the time, which is an added point since diners won't have to experience waiting in long queues just to be left with an empty plate.

But there were a few misses too. While we didn't have to wait in the buffet sections, the queue to their comfort room was a bit hard to bear. Their comfort rooms were a bit small, there were only two cubes for the ladies' room, so diners had no choice but to wait for their turns and some just even settled for the mall's restrooms. Gia and I also saw a couple of flies in the area, and their floor was also very slippery, the sticky kind of slippery I must add. And unlike other buffets with posh interiors, DADS just had a simple one, though decent enough to cater to the diners.

But then again, there's always room for improvement and I do hope the management will take action on these. Nevertheless, I will definitely come back and bring my family here. Can't wait to bring Mark here too. :)

DADS World Buffets, bringing together most of the world's most distinct cuisines--from Asia to North and South America and Europe, surely is the perfect place to celebrate the coming holidays and it's even a convenient pick for us Filipinos as usually congregate in large groups of families and friends to enjoy the Yuletide festivities.

IMG_3724
So if you still haven't planned about the holidays, why not just bring your family, loved ones and friends to DADS World Buffets and discover, savor, and enjoy an epicurean voyage through the world with the restaurant's wide range of culinary delicacies this Christmas!
