Culinary Open House at The Academy for International Culinary Arts (A.I.C.A.)

I really love to cook! By now you may have noticed that I've started to post recipes of the dishes that I myself got to cook. My love for cooking doesn't just end at the kitchen. I also enjoy watching cooking shows on food channels.

So when I got an email of an invitation for a Culinary Open House at The Academy for International Culinary Arts (A.I.C.A.), I really got excited and immediately marked my calendar! :p

We were included in the second batch of guests for the live cooking demo which happened last Friday, May 24. Since we arrived a little early, Gia and I were allowed to check the facilities at the culinary school and meet some chefs.

Together with the other guests, we were able to witness and experience a live cooking demo from Chef Instructors, Chef Neil Manuel and Chef Nicki Zamora as they showcased their culinary excellence.

The live cooking demo was fun-filled, warm, and very educational. We were taught how to make fresh pasta, ravioli, fettuccine, creamy mushroom sauce, and tomato sauce.

There was never a dull moment since Chef Neil and Chef Nicki always inject humor as they cook. They literally showed us that cooking is so much fun! :)

After the cooking demo, we all enjoyed the most fun part! We had a taste of the dish that the chefs prepared and cooked fresh from the demo. :D

We were also served with brownies, red velvet cupcakes, and muffins, courtesy of Chef Lilibeth.

The food was very appetizing and satisfying! The fresh pasta was a hit! Our favorite was the Spinach and Cream Cheese Ravioli! Gia and I just can't wait to try and make our own version of it at home. :D We also agreed that the brownies were heavenly!

My sister Gia and I had a great time at AICA! Everyone at AICA was so accommodating. Special thanks to Sir Mike, Chef Neil, Chef Nicki, to the rest of the chefs, and to Jason and Ronald for the warm welcome, fun cooking demo experience, and super good food!

I believe AICA is coming up with some more Culinary Open House and culinary classes this June.
