Had some family fun over at Altaroca Mountain Resort here in Antipolo last Monday, August 8. Daddy was on leave from work so it was a perfect time for some summer fun. Her sisters were also free that time so we invited them over. My cousin, Aya, and Mark were also tagged along. :)
The resort is just a few minute drive away from our house. We had our breakfast at home and got to the resort around 9am. Since the owner of the resort is my daddy's friend, checking in was a breeze. The resort was big enough, with 3 pools (a kiddie pool, a lap pool, and a pool lounge), a few huts, some tree house, a cafe and bar, and a hotel with function rooms and a grand ballroom.
Since we were there only for a day tour, we initially got one of their cottages near the kiddie pool. There were a lot of guests in the area that time, and since our family doesn't really want crowded places, resorts being one of them, I was sure that we will have to transfer.
Mark and I roamed around the resort and found that the pool lounge was vacant so we transferred there.
After getting all our things to the porch near the pool lounge, the kids (and kids at heart) started to enjoy the pool while the adults took charge of preparing our food for lunch. :)
And yes we got the pool lounge area all to ourselves! :D
Altaroca also has an in house cafe and bar, but bringing in of food in the resort is also allowed. There were barbecue pits and sinks strategically placed within the pool areas for guests who want to cook their food.
We brought pork adobo which daddy cooked during breakfast, and then brought our mini stove, pans, and some food for grilling. And come noon, we had a lunch feast by the pool.
We took some rest after lunch on the sun loungers by the pool.
And then we carried on with our summer fun! :D
We all enjoyed our stay at Altaroca. Aside from having an almost private getaway since we had the pool lounge all to ourselves, the place and the pool were clean, the staff were very friendly, and the rates were very affordable.
Entrance fee for day tour for adults is at Php 175.00 per head while for the kids it's at Php 150.00. I'm just not sure with the figures but they have different rates for night tours.
I've already said before that I don't get ecstatic with out of town swimming unless they're in beach resorts. We don't really need to travel far because we already have a lot of nice resorts here in Antipolo, and Altaroca is just one of them. :)

wow, had me drooling! looks like a very fun outing! it's great that the resort allows food to be brought in - that way, you can eat whatever you want and it's cooked just the way you want it!
