Yup! That's what I became yesterday. Well actually it was just for about an hour haha! I don't know what got into me last night, but when I knew that my mom was up for some party with her girl friends, I volunteered to do her makeup. :p Here are what I used for my mom's makeup. The eyeshadow and blush on palettes are my mom's and the rest are mine.
I am not an expert when it comes to makeups and I don't actually come close to being one. An everyday makeup for me would just consist of bb cream, powder, eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss (some lipstick when I'm heading to parties/events) and I'm good to go. So I actually wasn't sure what my mom's look would end up with haha! I just tried to recall and apply what I've read in magazines before. :p
I used bb cream for my mom's face as primer and brushed some nude powder on it. Since it's a night party, I chose dark colors for my moms eyes. This would also make her eyes look bigger. I chose gray eyeshadow for the inner eyelid, blended it with some brown eyeshadow along the crease, black eyeshadow on the outer half of each crease, and a light blue tint under the eyebrows and along the eyebrow bone.
My mom's eyebrows are already okay so just a light stroke of black eyebrow pencil was what I did to enhance her brows. I also used falsies for her lashes and finished them off with black eyeliner and a little dash of black mascara. I also brushed some light pink blush onto her cheeks to achieve that natural looking rosy cheeks and a pink semi-matte lipstick for the lips.
My mom's outfit consists of a simple black velvet dress with some embroidered details along the chest area paired with black heels. If you've got smooth long hair like my mom, wearing it down would be perfect for a more classy and glamorous look. :) For the accessories I chose dangling swarovski earrings and a matching swarovski bracelet. I wanted her to look edgy yet still maintain that class and glam so I added a silver shimmery owl cuff and a matching clutch.
Here are some photos of my gorgeous mom with her equally gorgeous friends at their party last night.
I am no beauty and fashion expert but I think I pulled it off and I'm glad that my mom liked what I did haha! Doesn't she look gorgeous? :D
