Celebrated father's day last Sunday over a lunch feast at home. We were supposed to go out but the bad weather didn't permit.
It was almost lunch time when we decided to just stay in for lunch. Daddy decided to have something that doesn't require so much preparation and cooking time and so he cooked seafood for lunch. Here are what we devoured during our father's day lunch feast.
Ginataang Hipon - shrimps sautéed in garlic and onion with coconut milk plus daddy's special ingredient, orange juice powder :D.
Adobong Pusit - baby squids sautéed in garlic and onion with soy sauce, vinegar, and a little sugar, salt, and pepper.
Sweet and Sour Fried Lapu-lapu - lapu-lapu fried to perfection topped with onions, spring onions, bell peppers, and sweet and sour sauce.
Pan Seared Stuffed Squid - squids stuffed with onions, tomatoes, and salted eggs. Same ingredients as the Grilled Stuffed Squid, but cooked by searing over a pan with a little oil and water. :)
Since Jaoey is still a picky eater, daddy decided to order some food for him. And of course, when asked what he wanted to have, he never fails to blurt out his favorite! :p
And of course, the celebration won't be complete without a father's day cake. :)
And as always, we all once again enjoyed our lunch feast. Special thanks to our dear chef! :)
Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!
Thank you for always filling our tummies with scrumptious dishes!!!
