I was busy with a lot of things this past few weeks so I haven't had the chance to update my blog. My backlogs are already piling up, most of them I don't think I still want to post, but this one I thought I needed to share.*wink*
May 31st marked the end of the initial 3-month vegetarian diet and medications that my OB prescribed. I did a pretty good job in sticking with the diet and my daddy thought that I should be rewarded haha! So the following weekend, I was able to indulge in this scrumptious meals! :p
I was having fruits and veggies for almost 3 months and I don't think my tummy can handle big meals yet, so daddy thought of cooking chicken and fish plus veggies so as not to overwhelm my tummy.
The first bite of the chicken leg was heaven for me! The crispy chicken skin and tender juicy meat were what I really missed! *drools*
Fresh raw veggies and fresh fruits were what filled me for the past 3 months, and so veggies with some hint of saltiness were really something new for my palates. I also enjoyed eating this one! Yummy!
My tummy was already warmed up and was ready for another food battle haha! And so here's what I had the next day. :p
The mashed potatoes and mixed veggies were what I ate first.
Then next were the pasta and the steaks.
I really enjoyed my plate! The beef and cream dory steaks were what I loved the most! This has been my largest meal after almost 3 months of strict diet! *drools*
Went back to my OB on the afternoon for another checkup and was told that my medication still needs to be continued for another 3 months (at least). I was also advised to continue with the diet and good thing I can now include chicken and fish (preferably steamed or boiled). I was a bit sad, but oh well, at least I was able to indulge in delicious meals even just for 2 days! :p

ReplyDeleteDoing my hop from this week's FTF! Here's mine:
Breakfast for Dinner at The Food Encounters.
To everyone who's asking, I'm sick with PCOS and my OB pointed out that it may be due to stress or even due to the food that I eat.
ReplyDeleteThe medication given to me is for every three months, while gradually decreasing or increasing the medicine dosages depending on my ovaries' response.
Because of this I need to have myself cleansed and going on a vegetarian diet was what my doctor suggested. I initially had a strict vegetarian diet 3 months ago, (with only tofu, oats, nuts, and yogurt as my protein source) and my ovaries were responding good enough, and so for the next 3 months, I can already have fish and chicken added to my diet. :)
