Dinner at Hap Chan Tea House

We left the house early last friday and just had a quick brunch since we were scheduled for our passport renewal in DFA at 1:30 pm.

We finished the renewal around 3pm, just in time for merienda. From DFA, we stopped over at McDonald's Libis for merienda. Jaoey was so hungry that he ate a lot! :p

Jaoey's merienda: Chicken w/ Spaghetti, Large Fries, Hot Fudge Sundae, and Royal Freeze

We headed next to Sta. Lucia East mall and shopped for some stuffs. Dinner time came and we all agreed to have dinner at Max's but the place was jam-packed! After trying our luck in 3 different Max's branches (Sta. Lucia, Ortigas Ave., and Antipolo) we failed and finally just settled for Hap Chan Tea House.

I was still full from our merienda so I just had Wanton Noodle Soup for dinner.

Gia wasn't also that hungry so she just had congee.

Next on the table was the Crispy Fried Chicken, which is Jaoey's favorite. We would usually peel off the skin and reserve it for him. The well-seasoned crispy chicken skin and tender and juicy meat always never fail to satisfy Jaoey's chicken craving. This delectable dish also comes with shrimp crackers.

Another dish was the Mixed Meat Canton. It had squid, pork, beef, mushrooms, and veggies in it. This, too, is Jaoey's favorite, but he would usually set aside the meat and veggies and would eat just the noodles haha! :p

We also had the Lumpiang Shanghai. The rolls weren't oily and the pork was tender and seasoned just right. It was made more delectable by the sweet and spicy dip that came with it.

The Yang Chow Fried Rice was good too. It has a generous amount of shrimps, minced pork, and veggies. This will never be out of the list whenever we dine at Hap Chan, and Chinese restos in general.

We've been to Hap Chan before and would usually indulge in their mouth-watering Dimsums, but we were all still full from merienda so we just had the Chicken Feet.

Daddy also ordered the Jumbo Siopao which had everything in it, as the waitress claimed. It had pork, sausages, and salted eggs as its filling. It wasn't that bad (though not spectacular either). My dad ate only half of it and had the other half wrapped since he was already full.
