Revisiting Ciudad Fernandina: Heritage Village

Date of visit: May 6-9, 2010

After our nature trip at Baluarte, we headed to my lola's house for dinner.

Lola prepared Bagnet, Fried Tilapia, Pinakbet, and Fried Chicken (Jaoey's request) for dinner.

Mark wanted to buy some souvenir shirts so we decided to walk around the city after dinner.

Mommy and ate Chiqui also accompanied us as we walked along the brick roads of the Heritage Village.

I've been to Vigan many times, but up to now, I still get fascinated by the structures here.

We finally ended our Vigan trip the following day by visiting the Vigan Cathedral.

Although Vigan has already become commercialized, it's still amazing how the Ilocanos were able to preserve such beautiful structures, traditions, and delicacies up to now. And these surely are the very reasons which keep us coming back. :)
