We arrived at Vigan past 11am. We dropped by my dad's friend who accompanied us to El Juliana Hotel.
El Juliana is a spacious old building which has retained much of its features back from the Spanish times.
The building is almost hidden from outside by high brick walls. With its enormous wooden gate, with a smaller door cut out of it, you will really feel like you're in a European medieval palace or in a Spanish parador.
It has flagged stones on the ground floor...
a wide imposing staircase going to the second floor...
and huge polished hardwood floorboards all over the second floor up to the bedrooms.
El Juliana's bedrooms are spacious. Our room already has 3 beds so we just requested for 3 extra mattresses for the boys.
Each room also has an added feature of an array of the modern-day equipment you have in your own home like cable TV, private safe, air conditioning, and hot and cold shower.
There are some rooms overlooking to the pool while others have a veranda.
They also have another distinct attraction in the hotel--the spacious lobby with a lot of paintings and wooden furniture...
a restaurant/cafe...
and the free wifi! :D Wifi signal in rooms are weak though. :(
Situated at the heart of the city and just a few walks away from the Heritage Village and Plaza Burgos, El Juliana Hotel sure is a great place to stay in Vigan.

ReplyDeletehi melissa! i'm not sure of the exact price since it was my dad who took care of the bill, but i believe the rates range from 1000-3000 per room per day. :)
ReplyDeleteHello there! I'm Kym. I saw pix of swimming pool. Is there a separate payment if you want to use the pool? May private CR yung room nila? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Kym! The pool can be used for free if you check into the hotel. But they also allow walk-in customers who do not check-in and just want to use the pool. A fee of Php 75-80 will need to be paid. And yup, each room has a private CR. :)
ReplyDeletehi! how can we contact el juliana? cnt find their website. Thanks alot!
ReplyDeleteHi Kriska. Do you have the email address of El Juliana? I found their contact nos. on the web but not their email. How did you book? Is it just by walking-in?

we are planning to go to vgan we are about 20-30 person do u have large rooms for us to stay in just 4 rooms? and wat was the rate for that room?
ReplyDelete@anonymous, Hi! I'm sorry but I can't help you with that. Maybe you should try calling the hotel itself. :) here's their number: +63(77) 722.29.94
ReplyDeleteHi, Kriska! Tanong lang ako kung with Free Breakfast ba yung sa air-conditioned rooms. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi! The room that we got didn't have free breakfast included with it. If I remember it right, they offer free breakfast with every room reservation I think it just comes with a higher rate though. You may verify with the hotel itself. :) here's their number: +63(77) 722.29.94
