Orlando Loses Its Magic against Cleveland


The Cleveland Cavaliers cast out their ghost last year, winning against their Eastern Conference rival last year, the Orlando Magic. The Cavaliers are on their 13th straight win in the season outscoring the Magic 115-106. The Cavaliers are now trying to surpass their team record 13th straight win.

The reigning MVP Lebron James registered game highs of 32 points and 11 assists, and grabbed a team high eight rebounds. James also credited his teammates like O'Neal (10 points, six rebounds), Hickson (20 points, 9-for-14 shooting) and Anderson Varejao (16 points, 8-for-11 shooting).


On the other hand the Orlando Magic is being led by their Center Dwight Howard scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Despite having good stats, Howard spent most of the time in the bench because of foul trouble. Rashard Lewis added 19 points for the Magic, and Vince Carter scored 14, but had a poor shooting night, shooting for only 5-for-16 from the floor.

In winning the game, The Cleveland Cavaliers established their supremacy in the Eastern Conference with 7.0 games ahead against Orlando and currently the number one team overall in the NBA with a win-loss record of 43-11. With 28 games left their foes are now struggling to overthrown the Cavaliers.
