Last Friday was my dad's birthday. My dad would usually invite our relatives and his friends over at our house for lunch to merienda all through dinner and the celebration would continue even until the next day. But yesterday's celebration was different because it was the first time that he had to report for work on his special day.
Having to go to work on his birthday, and having an upcoming storm over the weekend would mean so much hassle that's why he decided to have just a simple celebration. And to prevent the hassle of having to prepare a lot of things, after my dad's work he cooked a few dishes and I ordered pizza for dinner.
After dinner, we went to the Meralco Areva Pavilion for their Octo-BEER Fiesta. We had a few buckets of beer and pulutan.
I also got to jam with their live band, I got to sing 2 songs, and it was all because of Mark's big mouth! Good thing I was able to perform well..ehem! Too bad though, no one even thought of capturing my shining moment. Hmp! Maybe because they were all too overwhelmed with my performance! haha! ;p
We went home past 12am and had a few coffee and cakes before finally ending my dad's birthday celebration. We all enjoyed the night and we all had fun! Simple as the celebration may seem, I must say that nothing really compares to a fun-filled quality time spent with your whole family and loved ones. :)
